Notting Hill

Notting Hill is a cosmopolitan district known for the annual Notting Hill Carnival. Now one of the cities most desirable areas Notting Hill is characterized by stucco-fronted pillar-porched houses & private communal gardens. Nearby Holland Park, Kensington Gardens & Hyde Park are easily accessed via the well positioned Notting Hill. Quirky & fashionable Portobello Road runs almost the entire length of Notting Hill from north to south & contains Portobello Market, one of London’s best known & most loved markets, full of an antiques, fruit & veg, clothing & tasty street food. A very multi-cultural &  vibrant area with many terraced properties Notting Hill became internationally known in 1999 when Hugh Grant & Julia Roberts starred in the movie of the same name. A fashionable & upbeat area, Notting Hill’s Westbourne Grove & Clarendon Cross have many desirable boutiques as well as catering for upmarket & trendy restaurant goers with eateries such as the Michelin starred ‘The Ledbury’, Beach Blanket Babylon, Supperclub  & many others.

Scarlett Johansson, Stella McCartney, Robbie Williams, Elle Macpherson, Robbie Williams, George Orwell, Joe Strummer have lived there & Jimi Hendrix, Bob Marley, Pink Floyd & The Clash all played in this uber-trendy district

NOTTING HILL PROPERTY – Revolving around two areas – one either lives on the Ladbroke Grove side or the Bayswater side, which has historically been more affordable. Both feature gorgeous, large Victorian houses, many painted in startling colours & all offering wonderful but pricey places to live. There are lots of fantastic conversions – particularly in flat-hungry areas near Bayswater. Flats here command high prices but many houses here are still single properties & are extremely desirable. Standards of fitting & decor can generally be expected to be very high indeed.
