Chelsea

Chelsea is west London’s affluent riverside district with similarities to New York’s ‘Upper East Side’. Famous for it’s creativity, Chelsea was a major hub during London’s ‘Swinging Sixties’ and retains it’s creative edge in fashion, design & art with numerous galleries & fashion houses based on or near the famous King’s Road. Cartier, Tiffany & Co., Prada, Gucci, D&G, Chanel & Graff have boutiques in Chelsea. As a ‘Global Ultra Prime Residential Area’, Chelsea has much to offer residents with the river Thames & her many walks to the south side, Chelsea Harbour with leafy open spaces including Albert Bridge Gardens & Chelsea Embankment Gardens.

Chelsea is often associated with the world of celebrity and has made a home for such diverse figures such as James Bond (fictitious), Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge, Agatha Christie, Judy Garland, Mick Jagger, Ava Gardner & Gabriel Dante Rossetti.

CHELSEA PROPERTY – Chelsea’s housing is wonderful, some of the best in London. The area has a broader range of houses and apartments than the slightly more ‘establishment’ Kensington, perhaps a result of having been, for a long time, the haunt of writers & artists. There are beautiful Georgian properties including magnificent 5 storey houses in areas such as Milner Street, as well as lovely redbrick mansions, artisans cottages & exceptional Victorian terraces. More modern blocks & developments are found in Chelsea Harbour which contains exceptional flats & townhouses & provides wonderful water-side views. All properties in Chelsea are exceptional & all are utterly desirable.
